Davit

DEENAS offers two primary types of Davits:

• 1 - Single Arm Radial Type
• 2 - Titling/Pivot Type

Single Arm Radial Davit is a freestanding deck mounted Davit consisting of an Arm, Column and Winch. It is mainly used for lifting and lowering a boat/raft or other types of rafts.

Normally the Slewing function is carried out by a Crank handle however power operated option is also available.

Titling/Pivot Type Davit is a hinged type davit and lowered by pivoting outboard due to gravity and the movement is controlled by brakes. The brake used for gravity lowering can be controlled, either by a control wire from within the lifeboat or by lifting the brake handle of the winch directly from vessel deck.

Crew embarkation is at the stowage level. The lifeboat can be recovered using the power driven winch.

All our Davits are manufactured and tested to precision making sure the equipment fulfils its requirement at all times.

Our Davits are manufactured in compliance with IMO and SOLAS rules and can be certified through DNV, LR, ABS, BV, RINA and IRS.

Our Hydraulic driven Davit is designed with a self-contained HPU for easy handling and boat stowage.

Our Davits are available up to a rated lifting capacity of 5 tonnes.
